In Sherlayer, there are different types of emails which are sent from and received by the system:

Support Request = This is the email sent to the Sherlayer team whenever someone sends an issue using the “Support” link in the system.

User Invite = This is the email sent out to invite a user to join your company in Sherlayer. This email is sent out whether you add your users individually or batch import them using the excel template.

Password Reset = This is the email sent out by administrators to users who have been sent a password reset. This does not currently include password resets requested by the users themselves.

Alert = This is the emails sent out with any of the document alerts within a project. For example: The email which is sent out when an Architectural document is added to the project (and your user group is tagged with the ‘A’ role).

Task = This is the initial email notification sent to all task recipients when a task is created. This is also true for external recipients.

Task Reminder = This is the email sent out as a reminder to task recipients 24 hours before a deadline.

Task Report = This is the email sent out as a final report to the creator of a task when a deadline passes. This email contains information of who completed the task on time and who didn’t.

Message = This is the initial email notification sent to all communication recipients when a communication is sent. This is also true for external recipients.

Message Reminder = This is the email sent out as a reminder to communication recipients 24 hours before an alert date. This serves as a reminder to reply to the communication before the alert time.

Message Report = This is the email sent out as a final report to the sender of a communication when the alert date passes. This email contains information of who replied to the communication before the alert and who didn’t.

File Staged = This is the email sent out to document reviewers when a document is sent for approval to their area or approval stage.

File Rejected = When a document approval is rejected, this email is sent out to the person who originally sent the document for promotion. This email also contains the reason the document was rejected (as given by the reviewer)

Archived Email = This is an email that has been forwarded into the system from a user’s email inbox for backup purposes.

Archived Receipt = This is the receipt sent out after someone archives an email in the system. This receipt contains a link to the archived email and the email ID.

Inbound Reply = This is an email which is sent into the system when someone replies to a task or communication email directly from their email inbox. For example, if James Howard sends a communication to User B, and User B opens the email notification in Outlook, and replies directly to it, the email he sends is classed as an Inbound Reply and will be auditable in the system.

Two Factor Auth = This is an email sent when a user is trying to access a project protected by Two Factor Authentication. This feature ensures all users accessing the project are who they claim to be. These emails contain your one-time access code which lasts for 45 minutes after you leave the system. You will receive one of these emails every time you access a protected project 45 minutes apart.
